Chutes de la loube
Located 300 km south-west of Yaoundé, these UNESCO rated waterfalls can be found. The highest fall measures over 20 metres and empties right into the Atlantic ocean! The natural phenomenon of majestic clouds can be seen forming around the falls, as an effect of the condensation. This destination is absolutely worth the journey and is best viewed from the boats or canoes that are available for a small price.
Foumban royal palace
Built in the early 20th century this palace was home to the 19th sultan of the Bamoun dynasty. Today, the many rooms of the palace acts as a museum and the beautiful mosque next to it can be reached through the castle! Mefou national park
The Mefou national park works actively to protect free gorillas, chimpanzees and monkeys while allowing them to develop in their natural habitat. Come here and enjoy the many primates, birds and diverse selection of plants and trees! It is a unique wildlife haven that works against poaching and pet trades of primates. Therefore, a visit here has a bigger purpose.
Mount cameroon
For the active traveler, a visit to this active volcano includes a two day long hike through the stunning Cameroonian nature. It is one of Africa’s largest and most active volcanoes, with seven eruptions in the last 100 years!
Cathédrale Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul
